Equity Trustees Limited has appointed Michael Akele a key account manager in the Distribution Partners team. Mr Akele will report to Eliza Weaving, General Manager, Distribution Partners – Funds Management.

"Michael is a Senior Executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has had demonstrated success in developing and executing distribution strategy across retail/wholesale, high net worth, private wealth and multi-manager markets,” Ms Weaving said.

He joins Equity Trustees from Certitude Global Investments, where he managed territories including NSW and Queensland, and New Zealand, over the past five years.
