Our ‘quality at a reasonable price’ (QARP) investment style identifies strong companies that are trading in the market at a discount to fair value. We define ‘quality’ as companies with strong balance sheets, strong cash flows, sustainable dividends, earnings growth potential, quality management, and that operate in industries with favourable structures.
Equity Trustees has an experienced investment team which undertakes fundamental company research to identify these opportunities aided by proven proprietary screening tools. We have a systematic multi-factor framework which is used to score and rank stocks across a number of key criteria. We also use independent consultants and employ an extensive company visitation programme in our research.
Responsible investing principles are integrated into the process. We believe that this can have a material impact on both the risk and returns of investments, while progressing positive environmental, social and economic outcomes.
We also consider the tax consequences of our investment decisions and aim to maximise after-tax returns where possible.
