Empowering social innovation

In 2019, Equity Trustees in partnership with the Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) created the ‘Innovation in Ageing Challenge’ – designed to bring new people into social problem solving and to accelerate the development of their ideas for impact.

Critical to the Challenge approach is the combination of both funding and bespoke mentoring support that successful grantees receive to progress their innovative ideas.

The Challenge is Victorian based and is generously funded by the John Saville Eastwood Estate; Selwyn Henry Langston Trust; and Sir John Minogue Bequest and managed by Equity Trustees.

To date, the Innovation Challenge has invested over $600,000 into innovations aimed at improving the experience of ageing.

There will be no Innovation in Ageing Challenge in 2022.
