The Arthur Emilio Loyer Estate was established in memory of Mabel Alice Sharrott to provide assistance to nurses who have given at least 15 years of service to the community, with some of that time spent nursing in Victoria. The Trust seeks to support retired nurses or working nurses facing disadvantage by providing grants for accommodation needs. The Trust is administered by Equity Trustees Ltd in accordance with the detailed instructions contained in the deceased’s Will.

Equity Trustees is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from Victorian charitable institutions, associations or organisations to partner with the Arthur Emilio Loyer Estate to provide assistance to nurses (either active or retired).  The focus of the Trust is to support the ‘accommodation needs of aged or indigent nurses, the payments to be used for the benefit of aged and indigent nurses who have graduated from a recognised training school for nurses and who have given at least 15 years nursing services to the nursing profession, of which part at least has been in the state of Victoria’.

Supporting nurses who need additional support with accommodation costs, Equity Trustees is looking for an organisation to manage the distribution of grants to provide accommodation assistance to mature-aged nurses and/or experienced nurses facing disadvantage.
