New director for Equity Trustees Board
Equity Trustees today announced the appointment of Penelope (Pen) Lewin to the EQT Holdings Limited Board.
Ms Lewin is a seasoned executive and board director with more than 30 years’ experience leading digital transformation, innovation, and organisational change across technology and telecommunications sectors in USA, Australia and Asia-Pacific.
She has held numerous key roles during a career at Microsoft, spanning 1998 to 2025, where she led cross functional teams to deliver exceptional customer growth in AI and ESG solutions and was recognised for her leadership in cross platform AI solutions and governance, cybersecurity and productivity solutions and drove business model transformation towards cloud services.
Ms Lewin serves on boards including Australian start up TalkiPlay (an educational toy which accelerates speech development in children with delayed speech) and Xavier College. Previous board and board committee experience has included Social Ventures Partners, Habitat for Humanity, Scale Investors and AIIA (Victoria).
Ms Lewin comes with a wealth of experience in technology development and its commercial applications, but more than that, she brings a creative innovation mindset. She thrives in driving enterprise adoption of AI and data services, fostering high-performing teams, and guiding organisations through ambiguity and transformation”, said Equity Trustees Chair, Carol Schwartz AO.

Ms Lewin, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) and completed post graduate studies in entrepreneurship and innovation, said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of this heritage Australian company which plays a central role as a trustee in the financial services ecosystem.”

Ms Lewin’s appointment is effective 11 March 2026.
