Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are empowering the women of the future; because not only will these women impact their families, communities, and country—they will change the world.
 

With a century of experience in supporting young girls become the women of tomorrow, Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are continuing their commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow by ensuring the best support, tools and resources are provided for girls and women.
 

The Association’s history shapes how it operates today, and how it approaches adapting to meeting the needs of supporting girls and young women into the future.

 “Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT’s Centenary Celebrations will continue the Girl Guides’ mission by acknowledging this milestone, while celebrating the impact the Association will have on the future generations of women,” said Helen White, CEO of Girl Guides NSW, ACT and NT.

“With the assistance of Equity Trustees, we have been able to identify locations in rural and regional areas where Girl Guides can have a positive impact. This research was instrumental in successfully obtaining a Multicultural NSW grant in the Wagga Wagga area, an important first stage in a wider strategy to grow Guiding and deliver the Guiding program to a diverse base and to bolster communities”.
 

One of the beneficiaries of the legacy of Girl Guides is NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who said of her time with the Girl Guides: “My time as a…Girl Guide taught me so much about teamwork, about good values, and always putting others ahead of yourself. And I know they’re values that will maintain Girl Guides for many years to come”.

With foundations in place to meet the changing cultural, social and economic climates within our communities, Girl Guides NSW, ACT and NT will continue to invest in the empowerment of future women by giving girls and young women a place to grow.
