BREXIT
Following the expiry of the Transition Period, UK domiciled funds operated by Equity Trustees no longer qualify as UCITS Funds under the European regime and, therefore, shall be considered as alternative investment funds under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive.
In light of the above, UK domiciled Equity Trustees Funds are now subject to the UK UCITS regime. This new categorisation has no impact on UK domiciled investors, including in relation to the investment objectives of the sub-funds or the way in which they are managed.
If you are a client from a European Member State, you will need to make a determination as to whether you are or will be permitted to continue to hold an interest in the UK domiciled funds operated by Equity Trustees in accordance with the laws and regulations of your home state. For such investors, please note that you will continue to receive the same periodic reporting with respect to your investment as you currently receive. Such reporting is not intended to constitute marketing activities and any decision by you to make any further investment in the relevant fund should be carried out independently and without reliance on the reporting provided by us to you.
