Philip Gentry BSC,, MBA, GAICD

Mr Gentry has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership positions within financial services, property, agribusiness, international trade, commodities and logistics.

Mr Gentry’s previous roles have included Managing Director of Agrium Asia Pacific, CFO of AWB. He has also, held a variety of senior roles at ANZ Bank ranging from Corporate Banking, Strategic Development and Investor Relations to Global Head of Commodity and Trade Finance.

Mr Gentry received an MBA from IMD in Switzerland in 1991 and completed the Stanford Executive Program in 2010. He is a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science from the University of NSW.

Ian Westley has more than 25 years' business development and sales experience in Australia and the United Kingdom, across a range of different industries. Ian is responsible for managing the Trustee and Wealth Services' private clients business. Ian holds a Bachelor of Agriculture Science degree from The University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Financial Services.

Samantha is an experienced governance professional who has worked at several Australian listed companies.

Prior to joining Equity Trustees Limited, Samantha held positions at Maurice Blackburn and REA Group Limited.

Samantha holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Andrew Godfrey B.Ed

Andrew has 30+ years of experience in financial services, including leadership roles across superannuation, wealth, financial advice and insurance. His experience has spanned operations, technology, master trusts and administration, client delivery, transformation and change and risk. He has spent significant periods of his career with Mercer where he was COO prior to joining Equity Trustees.

Andrew leads the Corporate and Superannuation Trustee Services business.

Georgie Taylor B.Sc. (Applied), MAHRI

Georgie is a proven HR leader who has held roles in diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, Government and Financial Services.

She joined Equity Trustees in September 2022 from Moula Money where she was Chief People Officer – and prior to that had 10 years at Cbus Super Fund, as it undertook significant growth and transformation. Georgie thrives on building high performing teams in complex businesses and has experience pioneering contemporary people strategies and practices.

A member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and EQT Remuneration Human Resources & Nominations Committee.

Owen Brailsford BA (Hons) Manchester University, Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) UK>

Mr Brailsford has more than 20 years of international experience in risk management and regulatory roles in the superannuation, pensions and insurance industries. He was previously Chief Risk Officer with responsibility for risk and compliance at Australia’s largest corporate superannuation fund, TelstraSuper. His background includes roles at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), Prudential PLC and RSA Insurance (both UK) and a risk management advisory role at KPMG..

Originally a journalist, Alicia is a senior manager with a proven track record in media, marketing, communications and market research - especially in complex and highly regulated environments. She has experience in the development and implementation of both traditional and social media campaigns, key message development and targetting (including qualitative and competitor research), as well as the development of practical and direct marketing and communications audits and plans. 

Alicia heads up a small team of professionals, providing contemporary and credible marketing and communication direction and general leadership to position and develop the brand, and manage the reputation and profile of Equity Trustees.
