    Michael (Mick) J. O'Brien FIAA, CFA, GAICD
     
    Appointed Director in July 2014; appointed Executive Director in April 2016; appointed Managing Director in July 2016.

    Mr O’Brien was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia in 1989 and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He was formerly CEO and Director of Invesco Australia Limited, Director of Alliance Capital Management Australia and Chief Investment Officer of AXA Australia and New Zealand, where he was also a Director of AXA’s Responsible Entities and RSE Licensees.

    With a career spanning 37 years in both retail and institutional markets, Mr O’Brien brings to the Board wealth management experience in superannuation, investment management, insurance and advice. He is a Director on a number of the Group’s subsidiaries.

    Mr O’Brien is a member of the Board Risk Committee.

    Philip Gentry BSC,, MBA, GAICD

    Mr Gentry has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership positions within financial services, property, agribusiness, international trade, commodities and logistics.

    Mr Gentry’s previous roles have included Managing Director of Agrium Asia Pacific, CFO of AWB. He has also, held a variety of senior roles at ANZ Bank ranging from Corporate Banking, Strategic Development and Investor Relations to Global Head of Commodity and Trade Finance.

    Mr Gentry received an MBA from IMD in Switzerland in 1991 and completed the Stanford Executive Program in 2010. He is a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science from the University of NSW.

    Ms O’Connor joined Equity Trustees in 2017 as Head of Corporate Development. Her role involves strategy, mergers & acquisitions and oversight of group internal audit and fund performance reporting functions.

    Ms O’Connor has over 15 years’ senior experience in mergers and acquisitions across multiple sectors. Her expertise includes strategy, transaction planning and execution, due diligence, project management, valuation, financial analysis, financial due diligence, financial modelling and forecasting.

    Ms O’Connor joined the EQTL, ETWSL and EQT RES Audit Committee in January 2020.

    Russell has overall responsibility for the operational compliance of all Responsible Entity and Corporate Trustee relationships within Australia. He joined Equity Trustees as Senior Relationship and Product Manager in February 2005.  Subsequent appointments within Equity Trustees have included National Manager, Corporate Fiduciary Services and Head of Fund Services Australia. Russell also acted in the capacity of Chief Risk Officer for Equity Trustees for a period of 9 months to February 2019.
     
    Russell has more than 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry, holding senior positions within funds management and retail banking. Previous roles include: Communication Manager, MLC Investment Management; Portfolio Manager, National Australia Funds Management; Senior Manager Operations, County Investment Management; and various retail banking appointments within National Australia Bank.

    Joined Equity Trustees in 2019 within the Superannuation Trustee Services business. He is currently the General Manager, Clients and Strategic Planning with responsibility for the management of client accounts, the implementation of new business and oversight of disclosure activities.

    Mr Warren has over 32 years of financial services experience across superannuation, insurance and investment management including roles at AXA Australia and AMP. His background includes roles in product management, actuarial and strategy.

    Mr Warren was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia in 1995 and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
