It was with much sadness that Equity Trustees’ Board of Directors and employees learned of the passing of Sir Ninian on Sunday 29 October.

We are privileged to count Sir Ninian as a former Board member who served as a director from 1964 to 1970, and we remain honoured that our Company has played a small part in the career of a truly extraordinary Australian.

For many years, Equity Trustees has held a lecture series for our partners in the legal profession, named in honour of Sir Ninian. As a result, we have often researched and spoken of the key achievements in his career for opening remarks at the opening of each lecture. Recently a short video was created for this purpose – and we share it here (below) as part of our tribute to him today.

Sir Ninian’s achievements and awards were numerous. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife, Lady Stephen, and their family and friends at this sad time.
